How well insulated is your home?
You may think that your home is pretty warm, but in a study released by the Green Building Council up to 25 million homes are not expected to reach the governments goals for insulation standards by 2050.
The cheapest form of energy in your home is the energy you don’t use. So by insulating your home you will save energy and money. ECO4 Energy Services are ideally placed to offer the full range of insulation measures which will make your home much warmer and more energy-efficient.
How much energy am I losing?
In a poorly insulated home, most of the heat is lost through your roofs and walls. Around 25% of all energy is lost through the roof and 35% through uninsulated walls. So without proper insulation heat is escaping as soon as you switch your heating on.
Insulating your home is the most effective way of reducing your home energy bills and could save you significant amounts of money each year. According to the Energy Saving Trust you could make savings such as those shown below:

What is the importance of insulation?
The cheapest form of energy is the energy that you don’t use and insulating your home is one of the best ways to save energy and money. It also helps to make sure that your home is warm in the winter and cooler in the summer months – you could also save up to 40% on your heating bills.
If your home is not well insulated it’s like going out on the coldest day without a hat or coat on.
Whilst big improvements have been made to the energy efficiency of home appliances and electronics, one of the biggest improvements you can make to your home is to ensure your home is adequately insulated.
